  Franciscan Desert Rose

Franciscan Desert Rose Plate PlatternGladding-McBean produced Franciscan Desert Rose dinnerware in California from 1941 to 1984, although production continued in England and later China after the Glendale plant's 1984 closure. Franciscan Desert Rose featured hand-painted pink roses and green leaves along a scalloped edge. Franciscan Desert Rose pieces produced in California will have a Made in USA backstamp.  Pieces produced in England are passably nice while the new Chinese pieces with a pink flower backstamp can only be described as god-awful.
